“I am 6'5 and around 360lbs. I have broken cot after cot that promised to hold 600-800 lbs. It didn't matter if I went to a camping store or bought online they all fell apart. I finally sat down for hours of research, and this is the result. Quite simple, this is the heaviest duty cot on the market for big people. It isn't cheap, it isn't quick to assemble, and it is heavy (two bags of 50lbs each), but it is built like a TANK. I move around ALOT while sleeping...this thing didn't move. It is slightly larger than a Twin XL mattress. It is the most comfortable cot I have ever slept on. Once I put a Therm-a-Rest pad on it, it slept nearly as well as my Tempur-Pedic mattress at home, and that is saying something!! The cot has tons of bells and whistles, each cot has a nice set of pockets for nighttime needs or just important item storage. The top is designed to be a separate cot or a top bunk (My wife has informed me she will not be climbing into the top bunk so that was a nice functionality). For the price you are buying two incredibly well-made cots for just over $250 each; I have purchased "Big Man" cots for nearly $200 that broke after 3 trips. While expensive this cot is well worth each penny.”

“Each bunk weighs ~70lbs. The steel tubes are heavy gauge thickness. I understand why it can hold up to 1000 lbs (combined 500 lbs weight per bunk). It has two separate heavy duty nylon storage bags making storage and travel easier. I highly recommend getting this 2XL version (not large) that allows more room between the steel tubs for your knees if you are a side sleeper.”
